Technology has a reputation of being cold and devoid of human presence. Especially with digital art forms, some may find the lack of tactility and apparent human touch as a shortcoming of the medium. The works of the E-Motion series are an attempt to challenge this pre-conceived notion by using these supposed drawbacks of a computer as advantages instead. Replacing tactility and texture of a painting with the motion and media of a computer screen, I hoped to elucidate new forms of expressionist emotion using the tools most familiar with the internet generation.
