David explores the connection and disconnection between technology, humanity, and the individual. Additionally, David's cross-cultural background as a Singaporean-American leads him to explore topics relating to his cultural roots and identity. David's research ultimately takes the form of hybrid digital and physical work, interactive media installations, and web-based art.

David recently earned his MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in 2023. In 2022 he was one of the Summer artist in residence with the photography and video center Objectifs (Singapore, 2022). In April of 2022, he co-curated De-Oriented, an exhibition of emerging Southeast Asian artists (London, UK 2022). David has exhibited and collaborated with various organizations internationally including ZECHE, The New Now Festival (Essen, Germany 2021), Visioni Parallele (Rome, Italy 2021), The Asian American International Film Festival (New York City, USA), The Paris Independent Film Festival (Paris, France 2020), and Luz Viajera Colectivo (Guadalajara, Mexico 2021). In 2018, David co-curated Ethereal, an exhibition of over 20 Asian American artists, musicians, and other creatives which received more than 1000 visitors over 3 days (New York City, USA 2018). He was also recently profiled in the art magazine Art & Market in 2022.

Born in Singapore and raised in the United States, David earned his BFA in Filmmaking from NYU in 2015 and an MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in 2023. He is currently based between London and New York and enjoys cats, memes, and dancing.
